What Size Large Area Rug Do You Need?

Use the following measurements as a starting point. Always check the dimensions shown on the individual product page before ordering.

Measure the furniture in its normal position. In a living room, choose a rug large enough for at least the front legs of the sofa and armchairs to rest on it. For a more unified result, place all the main seating furniture on the rug.

Under a dining table, check that the chairs remain on the rug when pulled out. In a bedroom, position the rug so that it extends beyond the sides and foot of the bed.

How to Wash a Large Area Rug

Check the care label before washing, as the required capacity and instructions vary by size and composition.

• Wash the rug separately at a maximum temperature of 86 °F.
• Select a gentle cycle without a central agitator.
• Use a mild detergent.
• Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
• Remove the rug as soon as the washing cycle finishes.
• Tumble dry at a low temperature only when permitted by the product instructions.
