How to Care for a Washable Dining Room Rug

1. Shake the rug outside to remove loose crumbs and debris before washing. This protects your machine drum.
2. For cotton rugs: wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F) max with a mild, color-safe detergent. No bleach or fabric softener.
3. For wool rugs: wash on a wool or delicate cycle with cold water. Use a front-load washer only — no center agitator.
4. Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to air dry. Never leave sitting wet in the machine.
5. Between washes, vacuum weekly with a low-suction setting and spot-clean any spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap.
6. If you find a loose thread, cut it with scissors — never pull it.
