No. We recommend buying an underlay size that is slightly smaller than your rug to prevent the edges from protruding. If your exact size isn't available, simply size up and trim the excess at home.
How much smaller should the underlay be compared to the rug?
For the best aesthetic and performance, cut the underlay so it sits about 2 inches (5 cm) away from the edge of the rug on all sides.
Will this rug pad ruin or mark my hardwood floors?
No. Our non-slip underlay is made without harsh chemical adhesives, providing a strong, safe grip without leaving sticky marks or stripping finishes off wooden floors.
Is the non-slip underlay machine washable?
Yes. Just like our cotton rugs, the underlay is easy to clean. Wash it separately in the washing machine at 30ºC (86ºF) maximum on a gentle cycle, without bleach. Air dry or tumble dry on low temperature.
