    Solidary

Our rugs stand for solidarity. Touched by seeing children whose future is determined by their family's economic circumstances, Lorena Canals decided to offer her own social support by giving them access to education. This is how the Sakûla Project was born, a nursery school in the north of India where street children can receive food and education. There are currently 120 children attending the school and counting.

THE HANDLOOM TECHNIQUE

The art of handloom is a slow creation process involving two artisans and a handloom, where each thread must be placed one by one without the use of electricity and then meticulously woven into the fabric or rug. These artisans are not just artisans; they are custodians of a centuriesold tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. The handloom technique can take days, depending on the size of the piece. You hold a unique piece in your hands.

THE ART OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
