We offer the option of Custom Made Rugs on Lorena Canals website and also through our retail brand ambassadors. This is a made-to-order product, where you can choose from three different materials and a wide variety of colors and sizes.Our custom rugs are made on demand, which means it can take approximately 10 days for your rug to be delivered.Due to the personalized nature of our rugs, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. We encourage you to carefully consider your specifications before placing your order.

At Lorena Canals, we also design washable cushions that complement our rugs perfectly, along with wool and cotton blankets, poufs, cushions, wall decor, and storage baskets. We provide all these accessories so that you can offer your customers a harmonious and comfortable environment. Additionally, please note that our accessory anti-slip is always included with all our Woolable Rugs. For cotton rugs, we recommend that you offer it as an additional item with each cotton rug purchase.

RUGCYCLED: RugCycled® product line is the first to give a second life to the textile scraps from our productions. By using waste as a raw material, we reduce our impact on natural resources.

Efficient Water Use: We recycle the water used to dye and wash our rugs. Up to 75% of the water is recovered and reused in collaboration with local authorities.

Water-Saving Dyeing: We're reducing water consumption by using the more efficient "cone-dyeing" method, which saves around 75% of water compared to "piece-dyeing."

NATURAL DYES : All of our colors are dyed using azo-free, non-toxic dyes, certified by international standards such as GOTS and OEKO-TEX, ensuring that they're free from harmful substances.

CHOOSING LEAST POLLUTING TRANSPORT : We acknowledge that there is no such thing as completely clean transportation, but we strive to use the least polluting option available. That's why we choose to ship our products from India by sea in containers to reduce our carbon footprint.

OTHER RECYCLED MATERIALS : Our rugcycled line is growing and we are moving towards being 0 waste. We are introducing new recycled materials such as recycled PET and GRS certified recycled polyester fill to design our new baskets, toys and playmats.

RECYCLED PACKAGING: Our shipping bags are made of plastic that is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. Our product cover bags are compostable. And all cardboard used is recycled.

Yes, all our rugs are washable. Lorena Canals is the creator behind the WASHABLE rug concept and all our rugs are machine washable, even the wool ones.

The story begins when the designer wanted to buy a rug for her daughters' room so that she didn't have to keep taking it to the dry cleaners. She discovered that this type of rug didn't exist in the market and decided to fill the niche by designing and manufacturing her own washable rugs in India.

The Woolable rugs will function better in lower-traffic areas. They are made for decoration purposes and to embellish and give comfort to daily life at home.

Sunlight may damage the color of the rugs, because they are made from 100% natural cotton and artisanal dyes, so we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to sunlight. For more details, please refer to our washing and maintenance instructions.

Yes, our rugs are completely suited to this type of heating; there are no ill effects in terms of their appearance, quality or product life.

CHARACTERISTICS

The lifespan of a rug is high due to the quality of our technique and materials. It can vary depending on various factors, such as the type of fiber used, frequency of use, and amount of traffic it receives. Generally, our rugs are expected to last up to 15 years or more, depending on these factors.To prolong the lifespan of your rug, it is important to maintain it properly. This includes regularly vacuuming to prevent the buildup of dirt and dust, cleaning any stains or spills immediately to prevent them from penetrating the fibers, and using a vacuum with a soft brush to avoid damaging the rug fibers.It can also be helpful to rotate your rug every few months to prevent the buildup of wear in specific areas. Our products go through several washing processes during manufacturing, which is why they do not lose color when washed, as the color has been previously fixed.

Washable rugs need to have flexibility to be machine washable. We have thicker and thinner cotton rugs, but all of them are lightweight and can be easily moved from one place to another. This makes them very practical, not only because they can be washed at home whenever necessary, but also because they can be moved around as needed.

At Lorena Canals we offer anti-slip mats that are placed under carpets to prevent them from slipping, depending on the type of floor. With their very dense weave they are extremely high quality, and are available in three sizes: 43.3" x 51", 51"x 74" and 62" x 90".

Our recommended non-slip underlay is made of 75% natural latex and 25% fiberglass/PP coating, making it lightweight and environmentally friendly. The perfect complement to our rugs to keep them firmly in place.We also offer a basic one as alternative option.

Our rugs are 100% natural and made in an artisanal manufacturing process, which is why the material can release fluff. Every rug is woven by hand and the details are finished off with scissors. Fluff consists of the cotton fibre that may remain trapped in the weave after putting the finishing touches to the rug. To avoid fluff, we recommend brushing the rug in the direction of the nap to gradually remove the remains that may have been left behind and using a vacuum cleaner frequently during the first few weeks. These marks are caused by folding the rug and storing it for a period of time. Before using the rug for the first time, we recommend that you place it in a dryer on a low temperature for 10 minutes to remove the creases caused by packing. If there is no access to a dryer, a quick wash program in your washing machine will have the same effect. For more details, please refer to our washing and maintenance instructions.

Just like the other parts of the manufacturing process, the dyes used in our rugs and accessories are artisanal. The dyes are natural and boiled in water, before being used to dye the cotton. This is why the final color can sometimes vary slightly. The hand-made nature of our rugs and accessories is our seal of quality: each article is unique, no two are exactly alike. Ordering a customized rug is easy. It only takes three steps.

COTTON: Lightweight, practical, and washable. Cotton is soft natural, and renewable fiber with many properties.

WOOL: Wool is a natural fiber with insulation and moisture-wicking capabilities. Artisan-made and lightweight, our WOOLABLE® patent makes our wool rugs washable too.

WOOL PREMIUM: Our premium wool rugs are handcrafted using natural undyed wool from various sheep species to showcase their true colors. We blend it with 20% New Zealand wool for added softness and durability. Note that natural color variations may occur between lots.

Yes, your client can choose the color of their custom rug. We offer a wide range of colors to choose from so they can find one that complements their existing décor.

Due to the natural dyes we use, color shades may vary slightly from batch to batch. If you want to see a real image of how the color will look on the selected fabric, we recommend searching for another product made with the same color and material in our website catalog by the chosen color reference.

Due to the unique nature of custom rugs, we do not accept returns on these items. Once your client has approved the specifications and design of the custom rug it will be made specifically for them and cannot be resold to another customer.We recommend carefully considering the options and specifications before placing your order to ensure that they are completely satisfied with the purchase. Please advice your client about this.

While we make every effort to create your custom rug to your exact specifications, it is important to note that due to the nature of fibers and the artisan production process, there may be slight variations in size.

Therefore, we allow a tolerance of +/- 5% on the size of your rug.

Our Green Toys are made with natural and recycled materials instead of petroleum-based plastics. They are safer for children as they do not contain harmful chemicals such as phthalates or BPA, which are commonly found in plastic toys.

Our Green Toys are made from a variety of materials, including fabric scraps found in our factory, organic cotton, recycled polyester, crinkle paper, and other fibers. For customers looking for sustainable toys, we have products made entirely of recycled cotton with a polyester filler and others made from recycled PET bottles.

Yes! Our New Green Toys lines are made by upcycling waste found in our own factory in India and giving it a second life. Our dyes are non-toxic, natural powder dyes that are diluted in hot water, ensuring that our products are safe for kids to play with. Our Green Toys have various certifications to ensure their safety and quality. All of them are made with organic cotton fabric that is certified by GOTS, which guarantees its environmentally friendly production. In addition, they comply with the European standard on Safety of toys, as well as the ASTM F963-17 and the American Standard Consumer Safety Specification on Toy Safety. Some of the toys have additional certifications, such as the EN71-1, EN71-2, EN71-3, REACH, and CPSIA lead standards, as well as the CPSC 16 CFR.

Our Green Toys are designed to be suitable for children aged 3 years and above. However, we also offer a range of textile toys specifically designed for babies, such as our rattle toys. These baby toys have undergone rigorous safety testing and are suitable for children from birth onwards (0+).

Our Green Toys require different washing instructions depending on the type of the toy. Many of our toys can be washed in the washing machine with a gentle spin cycle using a delicate program at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. It is important to use a mild detergent without bleach and avoid tumble drying, ironing, and exposing them to the sun. For some of our products, hand washing with cold water is recommended. However, for a few of our items, we do not recommend machine washing. In these cases, we suggest using lukewarm water and gentle soap to remove stains. Please consult the washing instructions of each textile toy.

Our Green Toys can withstand the wear and tear of normal use. While the lifespan of a toy can vary depending on factors such as frequency of use and individual play habits, our toys are designed with durability in mind.
