Throw Pillows for Kids

How to Choose a Kids’ Throw Pillow

Start by checking the dimensions, material, construction and recommended use shown on the product page. Kids’ cushions range from compact decorative pieces to larger floor cushions, so consider where the design will be placed and how the child will use it.

Do not assume that every shaped cushion is a toy. Only use a product for interactive play when its description and labeling confirm that purpose.

Decorative Pillows for Kids’ Bedrooms

Choose a cushion that relates to an existing color or theme in the room. Cloud, flower, animal and nature-inspired shapes can coordinate with rugs, baskets and wall decorations from the same collection.

Check the size of the bed or furniture before ordering. Decorative details such as wings, leaves, ears or fringes may extend beyond the main body of the cushion.

Kids’ throw pillows are decorative accessories and are not designed to replace pillows intended for sleeping.

Kids’ Cushions for Playrooms and Reading Corners

Place standard throw pillows on a reading chair, bench or supervised floor area to create additional support. Use floor cushions when a larger surface is required for sitting or playing.

Interactive cushions may include textures, shapes or movable details intended to support imaginative or sensory play. Check the recommended age, intended use and applicable certifications on each product page.

Keep cushions away from open flames, heaters and continuous direct sunlight. Inspect decorative cords, fringes and attached details regularly.

Cotton and Wool Kids’ Throw Pillows

Composition varies by design.

Many kids’ cushions have a cotton cover with polyester or recycled polyester filling. Knitted models may use OEKO-TEX® certified cotton yarn, while selected wool cushions feature wool pile on a cotton base.

Not every product carries the same certifications. Check the individual product details for information such as CPSIA compliance, OEKO-TEX®, RWS-certified wool or toy safety standards.

Handcrafted Kids’ Cushions

Lorena Canals cushions are handcrafted by artisans in the brand’s own factory in India. Depending on the design, the production process may include knitting, weaving, tufting, embroidery or the assembly of shaped textile sections.

Small variations in dimensions, stitching, color and appearance are normal characteristics of handcrafted production. Review the photographs and specifications for the selected design before ordering.

How to Wash a Kids’ Throw Pillow

Always follow the care label because the cover, filling and decorative details may require different treatment.

For designs that are machine washable:

• Wash separately at a maximum temperature of 86 °F.
• Use a gentle cycle without a central agitator.
• Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
• Remove the cushion as soon as the cycle finishes.
• Tumble dry at a low temperature only when permitted.
• Avoid continuous exposure to direct sunlight.

If the cushion has a removable filling, check whether it must be taken out before washing. Do not remove or wash the filling unless the product instructions allow it.
